Course Description

Explore the dynamics of equity, diversity and inclusion within the construction trades sector. This course, developed by tradespeople with firsthand experience of the barriers in the construction industry, is tailored to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by workers in similar situations.
Recognize the value of varied backgrounds and perspectives that team members bring to the job site, and learn to identify and mitigate biases that affect team performance. Through self-reflection, you will dig deeper into understanding your own behaviours and attitudes, and your role in fostering an inclusive environment. By examining real-word examples and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives, you will equip yourself with the tools to lead by example and create a culture of belonging and allyship.
