Camp VCC
Held at Vancouver Community College’s Downtown campus and led by passionate, experienced VCC summer camp counselors, and supported by educators, our week-long camps are designed to inspire and empower children 7-12 years of age with hands-on learning.
August 18 – August 22, 2025
- Cape & Couture Camp (Ages 7–9)
- Step into the world of imagination, design, and self-expression! In this week-long camp, kids will dream up bold new characters and bring them to life through costume design. Whether they’re saving the world or stirring up a little (harmless) chaos, each camper will create a superhero or supervillain look that’s 100% their own.
- Mixed Bag: A Textile and Sewing Camp (Ages 9–12)
- Campers will explore simple mending and sewing techniques, experiment with surface design, and create their own patchwork tote bags. At week’s end, they’ll showcase their unique creations, leaving with a one-of-a-kind bag and a variety of new skills.
August 25 – 29, 2025
- Home Depot Jr. Builders (7-9 year olds)
- Get ready to build, create, and have fun! In this hands-on camp, mornings will be filled with building and crafting projects provided through our partnership with Home Depot. Each day brings a new surprise — campers might make creations like a rocket ship, bird feeder, basketball game, candy box, tow truck, and more! With a variety of fun projects to explore, campers will develop building skills, unleash their creativity, and take home their own handmade masterpieces. No experience needed.
- Circuit Masters (9-12 years olds)
- Dive into hands-on fun as campers build and test two awesome projects: a fully functional weather station to track temperature, humidity, and pressure, and a mini smart car that follows lines and navigates obstacles. No experience needed! At the end of the week campers will take home their weather station and programmable smart car.
Camps Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Before & After Care: Available from 8 - 9 a.m. and 3 - 5 p.m. for a small additional fee.
