Sarah Murray is creating change through fashion education. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Sarah came to fashion for the beauty it inspires in our lives. She has worked as a publicist, sales agent, fashion show producer, journalist, modelling agent, and retail manager both for herself and companies such as Vancouver Fashion Week, Agence Ka, Canadian Hairdresser Magazine, and Velocci Models. She has started a number of associations including Fashion High, the BC Fashion Educators Coalition, and Flash & Soul, all focused on creating community and strengthening the local fashion industry.
Heavily influenced by the Work that Reconnects, Sarah takes students on a learning journey that hopes to transform their approach to fashion so it can lead to a life sustaining society.
She has been teaching fashion communications and marketing for over 10 years, and is one of the fashion program coordinators at VCC.
