Concetta Sciarretta is studied fashion at Douglas College, Helen Lefeaux School of Design, and VCC. in the Fashion Design and Technology Program completing the first year in 1981.
She has experience in retail, has worked in production at various manufacturing companies in Vancouver include Sheila Martineau Designs LTD, Tina Fiorda Fashions, Mr. Jax Fashions Inc. and Arteenelle Garment Manufacturers. Her various jobs have included sample and production pattern drafter and cutter, production grading and inventory maintenance of supplies. As well she spent 10 years in the wardrobe department at Cannell Production Services Inc., Western Canada’s largest Costume rental house servicing the Television and Film industry.
Concetta started as a teaching assistant in 1989 and began teaching her own courses in 1991 at VCC. As a contract Instructor she has developed curriculum for drafting and sewing courses at both VCC and The Art Institute of Vancouver.
