Course Description

This production course guides students through the completion of a demo reel that showcases each artist's strengths in character animation. Building on three terms of study, students demonstrate an advanced understanding of body movement, performance, and entertainment through a series of exercises or a short film comprising a minimum of 35 seconds of polished character animation. Lectures, demonstrations, and in-class supervision allow faculty to focus on topics unique to individual projects, such as art direction, editing, and audio. Students who wish to pursue a more artistic final project rather than traditional character animation are fully supported in doing so.
