Course Description
This course introduces the nature and legal foundations of Intellectual Property (IP). Students will understand the three primary categories of IP and the requirements for protecting each of them. Through practical exercises, students will access federal resources to research IP rights and prepare basic application forms for IP protection under Canadian trademark, patent, and copyright laws. Additionally, students will discover the essential requirements for maintaining and safeguarding intellectual property rights.Relevant Programs
