Course Description
In this course, students will learn to analyze share structures and describe the special rights and restrictions tied to different classes of shares. Students will identify the procedures of creating diverse share structures and prepare documents for altering a company’s share configuration. Students will gain knowledge and practical skills in changing a company’s name, managing transfers and transmissions of shares, handling share dividends, repurchases, and redemptions, and navigating extra-provincial registration procedures.Prerequisites: LEGL 1631.
