Course Description
This course offers a comprehensive overview of the court system in BC, including various levels and functions. Students will explore the role and responsibilities of paralegals within law firms and learn to effectively navigate the Supreme Court Civil Rules and legislation governing civil litigation in BC. From file initiation to conclusion, students will develop the skills necessary to conduct a litigation file proficiently. By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of the overall court process in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and be equipped with the practical skills needed for a successful litigation practice as a paralegal in BC.Prerequisites
