Production for Animation & VFX Funded Tuition Opportunity for Domestic Students

VCC has received funding from DigiBC, in partnership with Netflix, to support emerging talent in B.C.’s animation sector. The funding is part of a joint initiative to strengthen B.C.’s position as a global hub for creative technology.

Thanks to this generous support, tuition for the Production for Animation & VFX Award of Achievement is fully funded for a limited number of domestic students in the May 2026 intake.

Learners in the micro-credential will acquire critical knowledge for the animation and VFX industry, including the interdependencies between people and processes within studio organizations; how to manage and lead production pipelines; and documentation, presentation, and communication skills.

The four courses in the online program run part-time in the evenings starting in May. Instruction will emphasize practical skills and knowledge development through interactive and collaborative learning activities, including case studies and independent research.
