Introducing Inclusive Leadership in Construction and Trades

+The new Inclusive Leadership in Construction and Trades micro-credential helps students to recognize the value of varied backgrounds and perspectives that team members bring to the job site, and learn to identify and mitigate biases that affect team performance.

Designed in partnership with the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VCRA), students that successfully complete the 30-hour course receive a digital badge, a digital asset that contains secure metadata and is designed to be shared on CVs, LinkedIn profiles, or as a URL.

The exploration of equity, diversity and inclusion within the construction trades sector includes evaluating one's own behaviours and attitudes regarding prejudices and personal biases and examining real-world examples and initiatives to identify effective equity, diversity, and inclusion practices.

VCRA members in good standing get $100 off tuition, reach out to the association for a discount code.

Inclusive Leadership in Construction and Trades is also eligible for the Future Skills Grant.
