Enrollment Confirmation Fee $10.50

If you are an international student and require a confirmation of enrollment letter or a study permit extension letter, please refer to the International Education website. These documents cannot be provided through the Continuing Studies office.

If you require an official, signed letter from VCC indicating which courses you are enrolled in, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the CS Document Request form and upload it to your student account via “Upload documents.”
  2. Add the $10.50 Enrollment Confirmation Letter fee to your shopping cart and complete the checkout process.

A standard enrollment letter will include your name, student number, the program you are in (if applicable), and a list of courses you are registered in for the current term. If there is specific information you need included on the letter, please indicate this on the Special Instructions section of the form.

Please also indicate on the form if you would like to have the letter mailed to you or if you would like to pick it up at the VCC Downtown Campus (Room 203 – 250 West Pender Street – enter at Dunsmuir and Hamilton).

When picking up any documents from the CS Registration Office, you must bring one piece of government photo ID.

Replacement ID Card $20.00

To order and receive your replacement VCC Student ID, please follow these steps:

1. Complete the CS Student ID request form and upload it along with your photo and government issued ID via "Upload my documents"
2.  Add the $20 processing fee to your cart and complete checkout by paying the fee

Please ensure to check on the form whether you wish to have the Student ID mailed or if you would like to pick it up at VCC downtown campus (203-250 West Pender Street – enter at Dunsmuir and Hamilton).

When you come to campus, you must bring a government issued ID and an email from the CS Registration Office confirming that the card will be ready for pick up from the Registration Office.  

Refund Appeal Request $35.00

If you are an international student and would like to request a refund appeal, please refer to the International Education website. Refund appeals for international students cannot be processed through the Continuing Studies office.

Refunds are issued with a notice of three (3) full business days prior to the start date of the program/course.  After three (3) business days prior to the start date of the program/course or after the program/course has started, no refunds are issued.  

You may appeal a matter related to a tuition and fees refund in two circumstances: 

a. You do not believe a refund has been calculated properly based on the criteria established under Policy D.3.4.

b. You are withdrawing from a course/program after the deadline for written notification but believe there are extenuating circumstances.  Grounds for appeal may include but are not limited to: serious illness, subpoena, or family bereavement.

Steps to submit an appeal related to a refund:

1.   Complete a Refund Appeal Request form and upload along with all supporting documents via "Upload my documents"
2.  Add the $35 Administrative fee to your cart and complete checkout by paying the fee

A decision will be rendered in writing within 30 days, and all decisions are final.

Statement of Completion $10.50

If you are an international student and require a statement of completion letter or a study permit extension letter, please refer to the International Education website. These documents cannot be provided through the Continuing Studies office.

If you have successfully completed a Continuing Studies course and you require an official paper stating your completion, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the CS Document Request form and upload it to your student account via “Upload document.” Please indicate on the form which course the Statement of Completion is for.
  2. Add the $10.50 Statement of Completion fee to your shopping cart and complete the checkout process.

Statements of Completion will typically include your name, the name of the course, instructor, and program coordinator, and the date of completion. Courses that are not part of a certificate or diploma program and all non-credit courses will generally provide a Statement of Completion free of charge on the last day of class (or one will be sent by mail for online courses).

Please also indicate on the form if you would like to have the letter mailed to you or if you would like to pick it up at the VCC Downtown Campus (Room 203 – 250 West Pender Street – enter at Dunsmuir and Hamilton).
