Course Description

Learners will explore costume workroom roles in the film industry, including stitcher, breakdown artist, set costumer, and prep costumer. Through immersive projects which simulate industry expectations, they will deepen their understanding while honing their problem-solving skills.
 

Prerequisites

FNFM 1101: Industry Landscape: Fashion for Film (FNFM 1101 and FNFM 1105 can be taken simultaneously).

Section Notes
Please note that in addition to scheduled class times, students will be involved in pre-production meetings, camera tests, and shoot schedules that will happen at various times. Locations, days, and times will be determined in consultation with the film director, cast and crew. This experience mimics the real-world film industry with its long and irregular hours.
