Course Description

This screenplay writing course in sketch comedy guides students through the process of crafting original, character-driven sketches while discovering and refining their unique comedic voice. Through lectures, film analysis, and writing assignments students will learn about comedic characters, the types of sketch comedy, finally brainstorming a comedic premise and writing a completed script of their sketch idea.
